PJ shopping

and i'm not talking about shopping for pjs, but in pjs.... i like it. but then again, i absolutely hate it. i love that i have everything at my fingertips. i hate that everything is not at the Ross, TJMaxx, Tuesday Morning prices that i love. everyone knows i can go into a store and not leave until every sale rack has been searched, every clearance tag scoured, and sometimes that can take up to 8 hours. i'll pack snacks for the kids to keep them busy and away we'll go. well, that is not possible here. japanese don't believe in clearance apparently. and if i want something made is usa... well, it's cheaper to buy it full price online than on sale in a store here. it is rather frustrating, indeed. i've been looking for things that i could really use... a keyboard skin for my new macbook, a case for it, some new queen sheets for my bed, a mattress cover... things that i normally would run out and buy at ross or marshall's and be satisfied that i got it for half price. but NooOOOO! not here, it takes me 4 hours to search and find one that i like, just to realize that i have to pay an arm and a leg for shipping and not get it at all. i've cut back on shopping so much its ridiculous. seriously, you all would be shocked.

today was completely uneventful. dropped off the kids at P's so i could go to a drs appt. Went well, had blood drawn, got some pills, came back and got the kids, came home, had lunch, watched a few movies from the library, ate dinner, went to karate, came home, kids went to bed, did dishes, got online and here i am. Seriously. It was just about as exciting as reading that huge sentence.

Brian called me tonight. He's the guy who I showed the Delica to yesterday. He wants to see it again tomorrow... so that is good. Please pray that he buys it!

Tomorrow is going to be a loooong and fun day. I'll tell you all about it now, since i won't be blogging tomorrow...
in the morning i have to get up and finish cleaning, make some pizza, and get the house ready for 12+ kids houseguests. it's our first official Bunco game for the team my friend Minako and i started. i'm truly excited. i hope i don't get my hopes up too much! anyway, after bunco, i'll be meeting Brian at the base to show him the car if i decide i have time. then i am going to try to make a chilled pumpkin coconut soup for the potluck at P's tomorrow night, and then the kids and i are going to have a sleep over at their house. fun! i haven't slept over at anyone's since D's in washington. I MISS YOU D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mel's new thing is ballet. she wants to be a ballet dancer. the only thing she knows about ballet is that they offer a class on base, that she can't start til january, and she's seen a few videos on youtube that i pulled up for her. but she tells everyone that she is in ballet. the girl has never stepped foot into a ballet anything, yet when she's talking to anyone, in person, on the phone, on her play cell phone, its about ballet. the only way i can get her to behave in karate anymore is to tell her that if she's good, she can go to ballet sometime in the future. daddy, of course, is against it. but i just want to see my little girl in a tutu on stage!

monkey has been quite the copy cat lately. he just wants to do what everyone else is doing. "what do you want for breakfast, Monkey?" "What Mel wants" is his answer. maybe because his friend K is so laid back and goes with the flow, he's trying to be more like him. i don't know. and i can't decide if i like it or not. i mean, on the one hand, it's good for him to be laid back, but on the other, shouldn't he be more assertive? hmm... kids... can't figure them out.

Ok, that's all my blabbin' for tonight!
