P and I found a new mall, with real stores, on the internet, so we decided to drive and check it out. We were originally going to ride together in one car, but then decided against it, in case we wanted to buy anything large, or take along a stroller... or breathe. It was a tiny car, not truly made for 7 people and 4 car seats. So we piled into our separate cars and off we went. The mall took almost an hour to get to, which is far here on this tiny isle. The kids were whining and complaining and ready to get the heck out of the car! We arrived with all of my hair in tact, and realized we weren't at the mall we were looking for at all, that it was actually a little further down the road. So we shopped a bit at the wrong mall, then braved the rain to walk to the other mall... where we found gucci, ralph lauren, tiffany's and other stores i wouldn't take a step into with five children. Luckily, the main reason we wanted to find this mall was for their "Food Coliseum". It was amazing. There were no menus. There were tickets, one for each person, which you scanned when you ordered and paid for at the end. And food galore. They had ethnic foods, japanese food, hamburgers and fries, pizza, pastas, wine, smoothies, coffee shops, ice cream, mmm.... but it was expensive. And now that it's checked off the list, I can move on to bigger and better things.
The kids passed out in the car on the way home and slept until 545 when i got them up to eat pbjs and get ready for karate. I was rather bummed tonight when the sensei said they were going to spar, but monkey couldn't. he's been in karate now for almost, gosh, i don't know, 5 or 6 months? and the other kid, although older, has only been in for 2 months. i must be pmssing, 'cause i almost cried i was so upset for him. (yup- cried sunday over spinning plates, cried tonight over fighting. must be pms.)
tomorrow night, i'm showing Daddy's Delica to some Marine in hopes that he will buy it. Yay! Then I'll be able to go out and buy my little squished van! Woo Hoo! And, I've had a guy interested in buying my car, too! Please pray that we can sell both vehicles so I don't have to keep up with them during deployment!
i'll leave you with this... what is it about having kids that makes you pee when you sneeze?
