We traveled up the coast about an hour today to visit the Pineapple Park and a super cool restaurant named Ufuya "Big House". 
The Park was fun. When you get there, you buy your ticket for the pineapple car that self-steers you through some beautiful gardens and some pineapple fields. 
I was expecting the ride to be a bit longer, but it was fun nonetheless. 
And for 450Yen, what can you expect, right? Anyway... the over sized golf cart drops you off at a Shell Museum full of huge shells and tiny shells of ALL kinds. 
Some round, some pokey, some purple, some that you have no idea what they are. Very interesting. Then you follow the path around to the tasting facility. First they get you all liquored up with the pineapple wine before they send you into the store to blow some cash. They give you tastes of their sweet, dry, sparkling, and light wines. Then you make your way around to all of the pineapple cakes, wine cakes, jellies, toppings, chocolate, and dried fruits. 
Then you move on to the pineapple charcoal, face wash, and sachets. On further to the fresh fruit and the awamore and gift shop that had Habu Sake! Check out the Habu snake! This bottle was 17800Yen! 
It was a lot of tasting and a lot of window shopping! I bought Daddy a small bottle of the pineapple wine to try. 
Unfortunately, I can't read Japanese and so while my friend was choosing her wine, i stumbled upon a taste of something I didn't know what it was. It was near the wine, so I thought maybe it was beer or something. So I pour myself a nice big taste and down the hatch it went. A big gulp of pineapple vinegar! ICK! It tastes like pineapple juice that's been set out for a while. Maybe like if your kid leaves a sippy under the couch for a few days. Haha. Anyway, after the Park we found our way to the Big House restaurant. 
The owner of the pineapple park owns the restaurant too, and was born and raised in the Big House before he turned it into a restaurant! It was amazing. 
The mountains, the food, the atmosphere were all awesome. After we ate, we walked the path they have built there that leads near the top of the mountain. 
Then we headed home after stopping to try out some flutes!
