So today, Monkey and I are writing a card and he's writing Daddy's name at the bottom...
Monkey: Mommy, how do you spell Daddy's name?
Me: It starts with a J, just like your name.
Monkey: Ohhhh, Just like J*********..... and like va-GI-na
Me: No, babe... same sound, different letter. Good try though.
We had an uneventful Father's Day. (Happy Dad's Day to all of you Fathers and Father-figures out there!) We went to the pool after talking to our favorite Gma and Gpa in the whole world (who Monkey loves 9-1-9-7-9 percent whales more). And both Monkey and Mel did really well. Mel kicked herself in her swin ring all the way across the pool and Monkey floated on his back and kicked his feet all by himself (no floaties or ring or anything!) He's turning into a regular little squid, I tell ya!
