That's what my stomach is doing. Because i'm thinking of all the stuff i have left to do. and today i had to add 3 more shots and 3 more drs appts to my ever growing list of to-do's.
This morning, the kids and I got up at 730, ate, showered, and off we went for a really long day out. First we had a drs apt at 930. when we originally left, we left on time. but when i got out of our neighborhood, i realized i didn't have any shoes on! (don't ask me. i have no idea.) so back to the house we went, now late. luckily, God was being generous and gave me a front row parking spot (don't you just love those every day little miracles?) so i got to the check in counter right on time... only to find out that my apt was at 9am, not 930. luckily, they realized it was their goof and fit me in. so both kids went into the dr for yet another phyical and shots ordered. Mel had to get a prevnar and Monkey got a flu shot (Mel would have gotten that one, too, but they were out, lucky for her! Or at least lucky unless she gets the flu!) After those shots, we had to go downstairs to the immunizations dept and get MORE shots for our travelling. Again, no fun... but honestly, it was the least painful shot i've ever had! The kids, however, reacted really bad b/c they knew what was coming after just having some! That sucked. I had to get the male nurse to come in and hold Monkey down b/c i couldn't do it by myself! (He was seriously like a monkey, throwing himself all over the place, holding up his pants and curling into a ball. Crazy kid.) So more shots we got...and we have to go back when we get home from Daddy's graduation for another 3 shot series in order to travel! So then off to have lunch at the mini mall (yes, another healthy meal of pizza hut.) And then to turn in our claim paperwork from 2 years ago (better late than never, right?). By this point, the kids are falling asleep in their car seats as I drive to my eye drs appt. So now I have to use the bathroom. And i absolutely can't hold it any longer, so i stop at target. The kids are both dead weight asleep. I get a cart and lay their coats inside for them to lay on, Monkey in the big part and Mel in the seat. I go inside and find the restroom, push in the cart and back into a corner b/c th handicapped stall is in use. While standing there patiently, an old lady comes out of a stall and washes her hands, glaring at me. When she is on her way out the door, she looks at me and down at the kids and says to me "I don't think you're supposed to bring carts in here." Man, I bit my tongue, and smiled and said "Probably not." What the hell did she expect me to do? Go pee in the middle of the floor? Leave my kids in the middle of the store while I went to the bathroom? Lock my kids in the car while i ran in? Crazy old lady. So then we're outta target and back in the car... arrive at my eye drs office only to find that i have to have lasik AGAIN in my left eye to correct it. NICE. So there's 3 more appts that i have to go to before i leave. Fun for me. And a whole day that i'll be napping for recovery again.
Please continue to pray for me and the fam for our move and my sanity!! Nighty night!
