playing katchup

wow- i'm officially a blogging slacker!!

we've been here in va for a while now. daddy has already returned to japan and is leaving on deployment next week. it's been one heck of a month.

i'll get you all caught up.

when we left hawaii, we went to SoCal to see Uncle R and his new wife K, GGma Verd, GGma Carol, Uncle J and Aunt B, Uncle C, Jess and Claudio, and anyone else we could posibly squeeze in. we had a grand time visiting with family that we hadn't seen in umpteen years and hanging out with the GGmas. daddy went surfing in the FREEZING cold water a few times and loved the time he could spend with his bff. i loved finally getting to meet R's new main squeeze and love of a life time.

so... that few days flew by and we were on a plane yet again to VA. we got in on a monday night. i think we got to the house around midnight to be exact. then on wednesday morning at 7am,we left the kids at Gma and Gpa's and got on another plane to go to AL. This is where eBay and a new car might ring a bell. yes, we did it. we bought our new car on eBay. whodda thunk, right? anyway, we flew down to abalamabama and drove that bad boy back up to NC to go house hunting. we ended up finding a house that we liked right on the lake with a beautiful yard and circle drive. we put in an offer. the guy countered. we refused. the snow storm was on our tails, so we headed home on friday. it was ridiculous. worst snow i've seen since i was 9. crazyness. we made it home just in time to be able to pull into the driveway. then it snowed all night long. we were stuck for days. then we got out on monday morning with the tots and headed BACK to nc to find some lots to build on.
