Luau

So Daddy's work has this group for all of the spouses, called the WWWs (wild, wacky wives) who have "coffees" once a month. I'm a member of the group. These coffees are not coffees actually, where we sit around in our Sunday best and drink tea and eat crumpets... these are full blown parties with themes and games and flowing liquor. They are generally fun. A time to hang with acquaintances from your hubby's work and possibly get to know them better. Anyway, this last Friday, there was another one. It was a luau theme. With limbo, hula hooping, flip flop contests, and costume contests. Well, being me, I heard about the Hawaiian theme costume contest, and from living there for 2 years, immediately thought either to be a total hoochie momma complete with long black wig and 6 inch heels, or an overweight cruise ship tourist... when I told P my idea, she totally loved it. We donned Daddy's clothes, bought wigs and the tackest Hawaiian attire we could find and viola! No one could even come close to what we had planned. Everyone was peeing in their pants when we arrived at the party. Everyone else was dressed in short-shorts, sarongs, and tank tops with coconut boobs and leis and flowers in their hair... and then there was "Hazel and Edna"...
